Peace

As I sit up into the early morning and my mind slowly is drifting off to sleep, I realize that my heart is begging to hear you lord. My heart is so thirsty for your peace that it is commanding my mind to be still and listen in to your voice. This kind of quietness is so peaceful, its like listening to a babbling brook. My heart pulsates for your truth Lord. May your voice silence all the little beeps of machines and other distractions.

Spirit

Every day I get closer to God. The closer I get to him the more he fills me with his wonderful spirit. I want nothing to get in the way of this powerful connection. I will do whatever God wants me to do and I will give him the glory. I will boast in his name. I will crucify myself to this world, I will crucify every unclean and hurtful thing in my body to do God's will and to know his heart. I will not be afraid of opinions of my new found Glory and saving Grace. My life was saved, my soul was saved by an unquenchable unstoppable love and I will do everything in my power to show that love. Thank you Lord. Be with me.

Awesome..

Found this on another xanga post.. A bible teacher named Ron Hutchcraft wrote it.

have been to the gift shop at those Colonial villages and I’ve seen what the potter can make out of a blob of clay. Every squeeze, every poke, every spin, every cooking is to turn the clay from a blob into a masterpiece. We’re God’s clay. The mold is Jesus. And God designed you to be, through the uniqueness of your own personality and gifts, a replica of His Son.

One of life’s most frequently asked questions is, “Why, God?” The only answer that fits all situations is this—“This can make you more like Jesus than you’ve ever been.” What happens in your life is either something your Father sends or He allows. But in either case, He only allows into your life what can make you more valuable, more Christ-like.

You can’t learn to love like Jesus unless there’s someone in your life who’s hard to love; you can’t learn His sensitivity without hurting; you can’t be Jesus-patient without having to wait, or to put up with someone difficult; you can’t learn joy without circumstances that you have to rise above; you can’t learn peace without some pressure; you can’t learn faith without needs that are bigger than your ability to meet them.

But unlike clay, you choose whether the Potter’s beautiful intentions are realized. If you forget the Potter’s goal, you can become desperate, bitter, hard, self-absorbed. Or you can let Him use it for the ultimate good. If you’re going to get the pain, you might as well get the point! And that’s to make you more like Jesus. The oven and the wheel are God’s tools to transform us blobs of clay into His masterpieces!

Power through prayer

I need to pray more, we all do. The power of prayer through Jesus is unstoppable. More than one person praying about any one thing brings the attention of God and the devil to an insane level. We should pray when were happy, we should pray when were sad. We should pray for ourselves, for our friends and family.. and for the world. Trying to be in a constant state of prayer is something I want to achieve. Praying while im working.. quick prayers while im doing medial things. I shouldnt just set scheduled times of prayer, like before I go to sleep or when I wake up. I want communication with God all the time. Sometimes I feel and I think a lot of people do while praying that they cant get through to god, like there prayers are falling on deaf ears. We have to break through that, we must.

Psalm 34:18

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
